LEGO © Mindstorm © EV3 Educational edition

We use the LEGO © Mindstorm © EV3 Educational edition in our classes. This robot kit provides of all the parts a student needs to build freely any kind of robot while having the security and support of a trustworthy mark such as LEGO ©.
In Robo Done we have engineers dedicated to create unique robots for every educational level, making the kids enjoy every class while they learn programming the robot they built.
This educational unit has its own visual programming GUI, ideal for beginners, and allows Python coding for advance students.

Robo Done uses the Handbook application (Android, iOS, Windows 10) so the students can access to the textbooks, quizzes and exams whenever they want and wherever they are. Once the students go back home, they can review the lesson and doing the quizzes on their devices. Teachers and parents can check online if the kids are doing the tests, allowing a non-stop real following of the student’s progress. Also, thanks to the use of the Cloud system Robo Done can update all the educational content without incurring in any kind of additional printing costs.

The students work always in pairs and the members of the teams
change for every lesson. Robo Done wants to teach  the students
how to work as a team, getting out from their comfort zone to
prepare them for the future.Every team work with one robot unit
and one computer provided by the school so they can avoid the
extra cost of acquiring the Mindstorm © units while that schools
are able to manage a reduce number of them at the classroom.

The kids concentrate on building up the robot.
Every student builds a part and they combine them once they have finished.

After a brief break the students start programming on LEGO ©MINDSTORM © EV3 Software (First, Second and Third year)
or Python (Fourth and Fifth year).
One of the kids will be the “coder” and the other one the “checker”, exchanging roles
every 10 minutes so every students can practice their coding skills.

At the end of the class every group makes a presentation about the process of building up
and programming the robots so they can work on their presentation skills.
Once they have finished they show the results running the program on the robot.
